Objectives:
Purpose: Through this project we are raising the awareness of the participants regarding the new job opportunities in the European labour market and how the brain drain affects the European social fabric.
With this in mind, we set the following objectives:
Promote the values of social inclusion, tolerance, freedom of expression and intercultural dialogue
Support the participants to be more active in their local community
Inspire the youngsters to boost their self-confidence and improve all those soft skills useful to be a more all-round successful European citizen
Célkitűzések:
Cél: Ezen projekten keresztül szerettük volna felhívni a résztvevők figyelmét az európai munkaerő piacban rejlő új lehetőségekre, és hogy hogyan hat az agyelszívás az európai szociális hálóra.
Ezeket a gondolatokat alapul véve, a következő célkitűzéseket határoztuk meg:
A szociális befogadás, a tolerancia, az önkifejezés szabadságának és az interkulturális dialógusoknak a promotálása
A résztvevők támogatása a helyi szervezetek életében történő aktívabb részvételre.
Inspirálni a fiatalokat arra, hogy merjék növelni az önkifejezésüket és fejlesszék azokat a soft skilleket amik hosszú távon is hasznosak lehetnek egy Európai polgárnak

Our project SYVELI – Share Your Values and Experiences Locally and Internationally came to life after we founded our organization in rural Hungary and we faced – not that we did not see the phenomena before – but in one of our intern workshops the statistics hit us hard and we realized: we HAVE TO MAKE a project, a youth exchange which tackles the topic of socio-economical migration and hand-in-hand brain drain.
Activities
Let’s tell you more about our activities…
Firstly, we began with two pretty busy days spending mostly with team building activities, getting to know each other’s cultural backgrounds and even had the chance to explore Budapest.
Not only Budapest, but we visited Szentendre too, where our venue was and made very nice interviews with local people about their knowledge of brain drain and we asked and told them also about Erasmus+ possibilities.
After that, we got familiar with the phenomenon of brain drain more deeply and how it’s affecting European countries especially the ones took part in the project. We talked about the difference between exclusion, segregation, integration and inclusion, shared our own connecting experiences.
We created our perfect imaginary countries where there are no social issues and realized, how hard we have to work to even be close to such an imaginary world.

A SYVELI – Share Your Values and Experiences Locally and Internationally azt követően fogalmazódott meg bennünk, hogy szervezetünk elkezdett Magyarország vidéki területein is dolgozni és nem csaptak volna minket arcon a statisztikák – na nem mintha eddig nem találkoztunk volna a jelenséggel. Ekkor rá kellett jönnünk, hogy muszáj lesz egy projekt, egy ifjúsági csere, ami a szocio-gazdasági kivándorlással foglalkozik, ami kéz a kézben jár az agyelszívással.
Aktivitások:
Most pedig beszéljünk egy kicsit az aktivitásokról…
Először is, két nagyon zsúfolt, de eredményes napot töltöttünk a csapatépítéssel, azzal, hogy megismerjük egymást kultúráját és hogy felfedezzük egy kicsit Budapestet. Illetve nem csak Budapestet, hanem Szentendrét is, ahol a szállásunk van, és lehetőségünk nyílt beszélgetni a csodálatos helyiekkel, hogy megismerjük a véleményüket az agyelszívás jelenségéről, valamint megkérdeztük a véleményüket az ERASMUS+ nyújtotta lehetőségről.
Azután megismerkedtünk közelebbről az agyelszívás jelenségével kicsit mélyebben, főleg azzal, hogy hogyan hat ez az európai országokra, különösen a résztvevők országaira. Beszéltünk a kizáródás, a szegregáció, integráció és a befogadás különbségeiről, illetve megosztottuk egymással a tapasztalatainkat is.
Létrehoztuk a saját, tökéletes országunkat, ahol nincsenek szociális problémák, és rájöttünk, hogy ha keményen dolgozunk, akkor közelebb kerülhetünk egy ilyen képzeletbeli világhoz.
Project Video & Testimonials
During 4th-13th of September, I took part in a Youth Exchange in Szentendre, Hungary, called ”Share your values and experiences locally and internationally”. There were involved 5 countries, including Romania, Poland, Hungary, Serbia and Italy. The sending NGO from Romania was Euroactive. The topic of this project was about a social problem, brain drain, how to improve ourselves and being more tolerant with others. Thus, we learned plentiful of things such as what is brain drain, inclusion, segregation, exclusion and integration, the difference between acceptance and tolerance, public speaking as well as team building and how to deal with stereotypes and prejudices.
I consider that it was an amazing opportunity due to the fact that we had many activities to do. Some of them helped us to develop our creativity by imagining a Land where there is no brain drain, others were interactive, as we had to participate in a multicultural night in which each country held a presentation about its culture. Furthermore, we had outdoor activities similar to energizers, interviewing locals about brain drain and even a travelling day to Budapest, which was the same as calming as challenging to manage it without the Internet and doing the tasks we must have done. I also enjoyed the possibility of organizing a workshop about laugh therapy, which ended well and some of the people wanted more activities related to this subject, especially the fact that it was my first workshop that I led. Personally speaking, I would strongly recommend taking part in a Youth Exchange, especially if you are interested to learn more about a certain theme, the social ones are for everyone, in my opinion.
